James Swagger, A prolific researcher, field investigator and down to earth engineer, James Swagger has dedicated the last 15 years of his life to researching megalithic sites and ancient cultures. James approach is simple use science and engineering to peer into the past, his passionate aim is to unveil humanity’s true cultural blueprint. James has been to over 550 megalithic tombs dotted across Europe. In addition to this, he has also researched stone circles and henges in search of commonalities and design. James utilizes his engineering background as a systems analyst as a utility to reduce the complexity of ancient megalithic sites.
James lifestyle is passionately filled with the exploration of history, when not writing, reading or researching; he pursues travel to the variety of ancient sites across Europe. His current areas of research are Archaeoacoustics and Archaeoastronomy, and in his spare time astrology. His most captivating place so far has been Machu Picchu, and the Cusco Valley.
James is an intellectual who loves to philosophize about our origins, explore anomalies and mysteries of all kinds. He enjoys talking about where we are now as a species and what the future holds for us. He firmly believes humanity cannot know where it is going unless it knows its true origins, the process of which, although begun, has yet to unfold. He currently runs the independent Capricorn RadioTV show, and is currently producing and directing Megalithic Odyssey Season One documentary series
Newgrange is considered the most complex megalithic site in the world. It is Ireland's most visited monument with around 250,000 visitor's a year. This book delves into the astroarchaeology of Newgrange and the Boyne valley alongside the Loughcrew and Carrowkeel cemeteries with astonishing revelations. This book contains new research and evidence that suggests Newgrange was aligned also to Sirius as a crude precessional calculator. Newgrange it seems was the pinnacle of a theme of passage grave cosmology running throughout Ireland. Knowledge of Precession of the Equinoxes is inherent in the passage graves of Ireland a fact that has never been explained nor addressed until now.
Newgrange may be a crude Precessional calculator by today’s measurement techniques but of the era it was built it was highly sophisticated, some may argue it still is. If you started counting the years from the time Sirius struck the Tri-Spiral Art, until it hit the Winter Solstice marker you would effectively have a rate of precession. The analysis and entrance stone artwork theory is the only one that explains the presence of the Tri Spiral inside the Newgrange chamber as Sirius also migrated inside. It may also explain why Newgrange fell out of use, as it had done its duty. The Newgrange Precessional Calculator theory boasts strong astronomical evidence, rich artwork and symbology and is fitting with other Sirius worshiping civilizations of the same epoch. Many other ancient civilizations around the world seem to have attempted to calculate the rate of Precession, an anomaly of ancient history yet to be explained.
